Call tracking allows you to see incoming calls directly in your Belbo calendar in your business. To use call tracking, you must follow the steps below.
You can access this area via Settings > Call Tracking
If this function is not enabled, it can be enabled via "Settings > Add Function".
Requirements:
You use a desktop computer (Windows or Mac) that is connected to the WLAN of the router through which you also receive telephone calls.
You use a FritzBox
Customers call a landline number that also runs through the FritzBox.
For the software version, you must first install the Belbo-Satellite.
Step 2
Then click on the Belbo icon in your computer's menu bar and select "Call Tracking".
Step 3
A new page opens in your browser. Now call the phone number indicated in red here using a telephone. The display of the telephone should show "Call monitor on".
Step 4
The page should now also display "Call monitor active". Log in to the login form on the page with your Belbo account. If you have multiple locations in your Belbo calendar, you can select your current location from the list provided.
Step 6
Now click the "START CALL TRACKING NOW" button.
Completion and Testing
You can now close the page.
If not already done, enable the "Call Tracking" module in your calendar under Settings > Add Function and make the desired settings here.
From now on, incoming and outgoing calls should appear directly in your calendar. Test this by opening the Belbo calendar and calling your business number from another device (for example, your mobile phone).
If you experience problems, we recommend first restarting your computer and checking whether the display from Step 2 is green.
Outdated Antivirus Scanners
Updating your antivirus scanner can also trigger a false alarm. Disable the antivirus scanner and restart your computer to verify whether the problem persists.
Double-click on the downloaded file to open it. When running the installation, a warning appears that the file is "not secure". This is because Belbo for Windows is still an unknown publisher. Click "More info" here and then "Run anyway" to proceed with the installation.
Step 2
During installation, you don't need to confirm anything. The installation is complete when Windows asks whether the Belbo Business application should have access to the internet. Select "Allow access" here.
Step 3
After successful installation, a Belbo icon appears in the bottom right next to the clock display of your computer. This symbol may be hidden behind the "up arrow" next to the clock. Right-click on it and enable the autostart option so that the Satellite remains active even after restarting your computer.
Basically, you should always use the Google Chrome browser for Belbo.
If you still need to use Belbo with Firefox, please follow this guide.
Unfortunately, Safari does not support the required features.
Installation
Step 1: Download
After downloading the driver, double-click the .dmg file you have downloaded. This will open the following dialog:
Drag the Satellite app as shown in the image into the Applications folder and then double-click the blue folder icon to open the folder.
Step 2: Installation
Click on the Belbo Satellite icon and confirm the installation again with "Open". If your computer shows you a warning, please confirm with "OK" that you want to run the application.
Step 3: Activation
Afterwards you will see a Belbo icon in the upper system menu bar. By clicking on the icon (see image), you can see the available options. Activate autostart here so that the application is automatically available even after a computer restart. To do this, click on "Autostart" once. If the option is grayed out, click on the Belbo Satellite icon again, as activating the option on first startup might take a moment before it becomes available.
The installation is now complete. For safety, check whether the icon appears in the menu bar after a computer restart and is clickable.

Security settings blocking certain apps
Allow the Satellite app to be installed in your Mac's security settings:
Click on the magnifying glass in the system menu bar or press Command + Space to open Spotlight search
Type "Security" and open the Security settings
If you see a message regarding the Satellite app here, confirm running this app
Uninstallation
First remove the autostart checkmark and then drag the "belbo-satellite" application to the trash. If you have already deleted the application, you can check under System Settings » Users & Groups » Login Items to see if "belbo-satellite" still appears there. Remove it if necessary.
The Firefox Browser requires you to make a security setting. Otherwise, communication between Belbo Satellite and your computer may be blocked.
You must allow a page loaded from HTTPS to communicate via HTTP. This works as follows:
Enter "about:config" in the address bar and press Enter.
Click on "I'll be careful, I promise!"
Enter the following in the search field: "block_active"
Double-click to set the value of "security.mixed_content.block_active_content" to "false".
If you don't want to do this for security reasons, you must enable HTTPS access and install the certificate in your browser. The address is usually: https://localhost:443/print.php
