You can sell your service packages not only at the reception desk, but also online. To do this, mark the desired package templates in the product shop – they will be offered for purchase there and will also appear in the normal online booking process. Because the purchase is only possible with a login, the package is immediately added to the correct customer file and the included appointments can be booked directly.
Prerequisites
In order to offer service packages online, three things must be set up:
The Service packages feature is active and you have created at least one service package template. Only templates can be sold online – individually compiled packages cannot.
The Product Shop is activated and configured. It is the sales platform for your packages – even if you don't want to sell any products through it.
An active merchant account (Stripe, PayPal or SumUp) is stored under Settings > Online Payment. Packages are paid exclusively online – unlike products, there is no on-site payment.
How the purchase works for your customers
Setup
-
1
Create a service package template. Open Settings > Service Packages and switch to the Service Package Templates tab. Create the packages you want to sell online there and store the included services with quantities in the Services tab. The package price is calculated from this and can be adjusted.
-
2
Give a meaningful name and description. The name of the template is what your customers will read in the shop – so "10-card massage 60 minutes" is better than "Package 3". Use the description to explain the duration, scope and conditions.
-
3
Mark the package in the product shop. Go to Settings > Product Shop. There you will find – below the product selection – the list of your service package templates. Check the box for each package that should be sold online. Only marked packages are visible online.
-
4
Make registration mandatory. Check under Settings > Online Booking that the option "Allow booking appointments without login" is disabled. Login is mandatory for package purchases anyway – this way you prevent dummy customer records from being created through anonymous appointment bookings.
-
5
Customize the confirmation email. After the purchase, your customers will receive a confirmation. You can customize the text under Settings > Product Shop > Confirmation. Point out here how the included appointments are booked and by when the package must be redeemed.
-
6
Promote your shop. Test the purchase yourself via the shop preview. Then share the shop link on your website, on social media and on your online booking page – the footer and the information page are particularly suitable.
Packages in the normal booking process
Marked packages are not only offered in the product shop. They also appear in the familiar online booking process: if someone selects a service that is part of an online-offered package, the appropriate package will be offered as an alternative – for example "This service is also available as a 10-card". This way you reach exactly the customers who want to book anyway and turn a single appointment into a package sale.
After the purchase: Arrange appointments
As soon as payment has been received, the package is automatically added to the customer file – just like a sale at the reception desk. For appointment scheduling, there are then two options:
- Immediately afterwards: After payment, the services included in the package are offered for appointment selection. Your customers can thus book the appointments immediately.
- Later via login: The package remains stored in the customer account. On each subsequent online booking, the remaining package services are offered and debited against the credit – no further payment is required.
In the customer file, you can see at any time under the Service Packages tab which services have already been redeemed, which have already been scheduled and which are still pending. From there you can also schedule appointments yourself for your customers, for example by phone at the reception desk.
