DESK 3500 / MOVE 5000 Enable ZVT

This guide explains how to activate ZVT mode on an Ingenico/Worldline Desk 3500 or Move 5000 and set up the network connection so that the terminal can be controlled directly from Belbo.

You perform this setup once directly on the terminal. After that, you set up the connection in Belbo – you can find the general instructions here: Connect ZVT terminal with Belbo

Prerequisites

  • You are using Belbo on a computer (Windows or Mac) or an iPad.
  • The terminal is already in operation and successful payments have been made manually.
  • The terminal and computer/iPad are in the same WLAN network.
  • You have the technician PIN handy (in many cases 11599 or 21088). If neither of these works, ask your terminal provider's hotline for it.

Navigation on the terminal is done using the arrow keys and the green OK button. The red X button cancels or goes back one step. The F button (function key) opens the technician menu – depending on the model, it is located to the left of the number pad.

Step 1 of 3: Activate ZVT mode

In this step, you switch the terminal to ZVT mode so it can receive commands from the cash register system.

  1. Press the F button three times in quick succession to open the technician menu.
  2. Enter 513 and confirm with the green button.
  3. Enter the technician PIN (usually 11599 or 21088) and confirm.
  4. Select Activate ZVT and confirm.

If neither 11599 nor 21088 work as the technician PIN, contact your terminal provider's hotline. You can find the hotline number on the back of the device.

Step 2 of 3: Configure network connection

In this step, you set how the terminal is accessible in the network. Belbo communicates with the terminal via IP and port – these values must match.

  1. Press the F button three times in quick succession to open the technician menu.
  2. Enter 54 and confirm with the green button.
  3. Enter the PIN 12345 and confirm.
  4. Select Cash register.
  5. Select TCP/IP (for WLAN connection: WLAN).
  6. Leave the host value unchanged.
  7. Check the port – it should be set to 5577. If not, change it to 5577. Note the port; you will need it later in Belbo.
  8. Press the red X button repeatedly until the terminal's main menu appears.

The terminal will restart automatically after exiting the menu. This is normal and intended – wait until the device has fully booted up.

Step 3 of 3: Adjust ZVT settings

In this step, you set whether the terminal itself prints receipts. The default setting prevents printing – this must be disabled.

  1. Navigate in the main menu to Administration → Cash register → ZVT settings.
  2. Set Receipt ctrl. by term to OFF.

What does "Receipt ctrl. by term" mean? This setting determines whether the terminal controls receipt printing itself or the cash register system. If it is enabled, the terminal blocks printing. Set to OFF, the terminal – or Belbo – can print the receipt normally.

Next step: Set up connection in Belbo

The terminal is now prepared for ZVT. Now set up the connection in Belbo – you will need the IP address of the terminal (read from the router) and the port (usually 5577).
