If you need to temporarily close your business, you can make certain settings in Belbo for this period so that online booking and, if desired, reminders for your customers are disabled without having to delete schedules or appointments. In addition, all customers who have an appointment during the closure period can be specifically contacted with an email newsletter and informed about the closure.
Set up business interruption
- Go to Settings > Location Settings (top right).
- Click on "Business Interruption".
- Follow the steps in our assistant.

Setup Assistant
In the assistant, you can set how long you want to store the business interruption.

Online Booking
Once you have set a date for the business interruption, customers can book appointments, but not during the specified interruption period. Online booking is disabled during this period.

Reminders
Then you can specify whether reminders should be sent for appointments that already exist during the interruption period. You can differentiate between emails and SMS, in case you want to send emails but not SMS.

Customers can book appointments, but not within the business interruption period you have set. They also see the text you wrote in the booking:

Contact all customers who have an appointment in the calendar during the closure period
If you want to contact all scheduled customers in the calendar by email, you can set this up in just a few clicks.
Under Settings you will find all information about your existing business interruption in the header area. Here you can create a campaign to reach customers whose appointment will be cancelled during the closure period.

- Click on "Contact customers with appointment via email"
- A campaign is created in which all customers are listed as recipients who have an appointment in the calendar during the closure period.
- Please note that this can also include appointments in the past if the interruption period you entered starts in the past. If you do not want this, set the start of the business interruption to the current day before creating the campaign.
- After clicking the button, a campaign opens which you can now write in the "Content & Design" tab.
- Send yourself a test email if necessary.
- In the "General" tab you can then start the delivery.

Your customers do not need marketing approval for this type of information email. All customers who have an appointment during the closure period and a valid email address in the customer file will be contacted.
